Better late than never, right?

Dear friends and family,

There have been some recent changes up here in Framingham.

I am training again and honestly, as much as a bad reputation it can get, I couldn't be happier. I am grateful and blessed for the position I'm in to help people on their way, and to help make a strong impact in someone's life.

Elder Jones is from Gilbert, Arizona, he is incredibly talented with music. So much so, he has a band and has released albums and is close to making a second. He has a lot of good energy that I have really been needing to keep going.
Recently many missionaries have been leaving for home early. It's becoming such a problem, that the these return missionaries are causing the Church's family service to work over time. It's hard to watch friends have to turn in the that tag. It started to weigh me down, but I now have a renewed hope in this next generation that I get to raise.

A funny thing happened today. Elder Jones and I were chilling out when we saw this finch flying around our balcony. So, we attempted to get it to hang out with us. Steve (the finch's name) is now a good friend of ours. He explored our apartment for about an hour or so before we had to leave. We left him with some food and water outside so when he comes back, he'll have something to look forward to. The things we do as missionaries to stay entertained...

I had a cool study this week while in Alma 33. First I want to mention how cool it is that we have scripture from prophets in biblical times that has never been found except the book of Mormon. In this case, Alma is quoting the words of the prophet Zenos.
In verses 3-11, we read of 10 times the prophet mentioned that the Lord heard his cries. That begs the question, do YOU believe that God hears your prayers? How?
I hope you can reflect on that question and find ways to pray with more faith and conviction.
Another idea that was reiterated to me was: you are ALWAYS worthy to pray.
Don't ever let the adversary say otherwise. It is the biggest lie. I think we all at some point or another have given into this way of thinking. I want you to know that whatever you've done in your past, does not make who you are tomorrow. You can always change. There is nothing that the light of Christ cannot reach.

Life is truly a blessing. I am glad to have you in my life. Stay strong!

con mucho amor,
Elder Rasmussen
