Rebound week

Happy 12 days of Christmas,

This week was a bit more upbeat now that we've graduated from all the disclosures and orientations of mission work here in the Boston mission.
More time now for members visits and teaching. We still have to pace ourselves because Elder Olson is still getting used to the mission grind and schedule but we're getting into our groove.

We've set up our Christmas decorations and they sure do bring a nice spirit. It was also some good bonding time with Elder Olson. It's kind of strange, this is my last Christmas in the mission, so I'm trying to make it memorable and soak it all up. It's nice, Elder Olson is quite the cook so we've been making cookies for all of our members in appreciation for them. We just want to make sure everyone feels loved and included this season.

We recently spoke with Linzey about setting a baptismal date. She was ecstatic! We explained that in order to proceed, she needs to speak with her parents on the matters. She'll get back to us this week.
We finally saw the Heredia Family in church after 3 weeks of not attending. Come to find out that Hector (the father), has been having really bad head, neck, and back pain. So much so he had to go to the hospital. So, please pray for him, Jenny, Shmuel, and Cher (their kids).

I was doing some studies in 2 Nephi 2 this last week. I went on a huge scripture chase after reading the end of verse 14. This talks about how there are two states in this universe. One that acts, and the other that is acted upon. This led me on a huge scripture chase of intelligence and matter, and eventually asking myself; What is the source of God's power?
I don't want to spoil your fun in the search so here's a little hint, it's in Doctrine & Covenants 29.

Keep sharing your light in the world! It's a wonderful thing to have ideas everyday to share your testimony with others. You have a special purpose in this life to help be someone's angel, I promise it's real!

con mucho amor,
Elder Rasmussen
