A close call

Good morning dearest family and friends,

The Spanish word of the day is:¿tartamudeé? (Did I stutter?)

Seriously dodged a bullet this week. There were growing feelings that I was going to leave Revere. I'm on my 4th transfer so things are getting ripe. We all cast our lots but it turns out that the odds were in my favor. I'm staying a other 2 weeks.

Got some lovely news! On Friday I became an uncle! If you get the chance, go give McKenna, Alex, and baby Lincoln some love!

We had a really cool experience at church yesterday. Both our friends Brandon and Edgar joined us for sacrament meeting. At the end we asked if we could stay and have a discussion. They both agreed! It was a super deep and really tranquilo discussion. Sadly though, both don't pertain to our area which means we'll have to hand them off soon :(

One thing we talked about was praying always so that we don't fall into temptation. We understand that the adversary is constantly working against us, trying to get us to misuse our bodies, hurt others, etc. If we aren't constantly making an effort to fight that force, it's going to slowly pull us away from the light. Interesting how our inaction to act, can have negative effects. So, the invitation is to always try and do good no matter what. Even in the hardest of times.

con mucho amor,
Elder Rasmussen
