There's still good in the world

Buenas tardes!

Spanish word of the day: La mofeta (skunk)

This week, we decided to grab some food from our local Pakistani kabab shop. As we were waiting for it to finish up, we met a man named Robert. He had the classic New England "harbah" accent and gray scruff on his face and neck. None the less, it was fun to get to know him. When our food was ready, he stopped us and said he'd pay for it because we spread the good word.

It makes me happy that there is still some goodness in this world. When we are praying for a miracle in our lives, often times God puts a person in the right place and time to answer our prayers. So, we should constantly be on our toes to be ready to act on a prompting to answer someone's prayers.
This past week, we had a super cool experience with this idea. We had met up with Manuel (recently baptised) to finish some paperwork. While we were talking, I had a very strong impression to suggest if he wanted a blessing of comfort. Immediately, he agreed. It was a very powerful and uplifting moment between for all of us. Don't postpone a prompting!

I love you all! Hope you are able to get our and enjoy the weather!

con mucho amor,
Elder Rasmussen
