Here to stay...a few more at least

Good morning dearest friends and family,

Spanish word of the day: La bisagra (hinge)

I have some news...

I'll be staying here in Revere another transfer! 👏On top of that, we are getting another companionship in our apartment. And to add a little more, I'm going to be the District Leader.

We have been so incredibly busy lately, so busy in fact, we have had to cut our studies short a few times. Oops.

Here are some cool little moments from this past week:

We received a referral from a lady named Sherelyn. When we were messaging, she said she was confined to an electric wheel chair with a degenerative nerve disease. That alone was a surprise. When we called her and her 9 year old daughter, it was evident that Sherelyn couldn't speak. That proved to be a small challenge. What was amazing was the entire time, she understood what we were teaching. We felt impressed to share Alma 40:32. This speaks of how our bodies will be perfected when the resurection comes. Immediately, she began to cry as we felt the powers of the spirit testify of this simple truth.

Another fun little experience was with our friend Humberto. We weren't able to find him a ride to sacrament meeting, so, he took matters in his own hands and walked 3 miles to the chapel. When he arrived, I greeted him and this was our exchange:
"Humberto, how did you get here!?"
"I walked"
"You what??"
"yeah, it only took 50 minutes"
"Humberto, I'm sorry you had to do that"
"No it's ok, just a little excercise, right?"
This was a really big act of faith on his part as he's currently trying to stop smoking.

I could really use all of your help. If you, or anyone you know has an experience with giving up smoking, feel free to share it with me. We feel Humberto needs some inspiration and a real life experience to see the direct blessings of following Christ.

And if you have had any other spiritual experiences in your week, feel free to share them with me so I can share them with our friends. They need your support!

I love you all so much and I am so glad that this work still moves forward. We are eternally grateful for all of your prayers! Have a wonderful week!

con mucho amor,
