Church in person!
Buenos días,
Spanish word of the day: Sacapuntas (pencil sharpener)
Lots of good things this week.
With our recent convert Manuel, we began teaching his children this week. Up until this point on my mission, I haven't really been able to have many close interactions teaching kids. If there was one word I could use to describe what it's like teaching such innocent and pure souls, I'd say "sagrado". It's such a special experience to see the light of Christ in their eyes. One might say these ideas are too difficult and abstract to understand, but really, they understand it better than the majority of people that we teach. The words of Moroni 8:12 where it says: "But little children are alive in Christ". No wonder Christ invited us to be more like them. Humble, meek, kind, having complete trust, etc.
I invite you all to go read 3 Nephi 17. This right here is one of the most pure and beautiful moments in the Book of Mormon (in my opinion). You'll see why.
Aside from that, we attended church for the first time in almost 5 months which was interesting yet a huge relief. With only 25 people allowed to attend, it felt pretty small. Progress is progress, right?!
Believe it or not, we have been able to start teaching quite a few people through Facebook. To me it's still interesting but it's becoming the new way of missionary work whether we like it or not. It's just another tool to be added to our growing super mission utility belt.
I invite all of you to think of someone, an old friend, lost relative, or co-worker. Now that you have someone in mind, send them a short message, video, or photo of something inspiring. Then, bare a true and honest testimony of what you know. I promise, you will see miracles and blessings come from sharing the gospel in small and simple ways.
Always remember, that's how the Lord works to confound even the wisest of men; small and simple things.
Love you all!
Side note: Go check out the application or series called The Chosen. It's not made by any church BUT it's amazing!
