Answered prayers!

Good afternoon!

Spanish word of the day: Chuletas (chops/sideburns)

First off, thank you for reading my emails! I really hope I can make a positive contribution to your day.

I have been waiting for this week to arrive for sooooo long. On Saturday, we held the baptism of our guy Manuel! I'd like to share a small miracle that occurred three days earlier. As of right now, Massachussetts doesnt allow missionaries attend baptisms in person. When we had invited Manuel to be baptized two months earlier, we had accepted that fact that we wouldnt be there in person. Up until this point, we had never met him in person, its always been over video. We had prayed constantly and consistently to be able to attend in person. Three days before the baptism, Elder Chalk suggested that we call president to chat a little about Manuel and his baptism. With our good charm, we humbly asked pres. Mavromatis for permission to attend in person. To our absolute shock, he said he would permit us to go this ONE time.

I want you all to know that God DOES answer prayers. We may not always understand when or how they will be answered, but I know that they will!
I also know that miracles still exist and that God is still very involved in our daily lives. Don't be afraid to ask for help from your Heavenly Father. Isn't it about time we rely more on His power and wisdom?

I love you all and I hope you have a wonderful week!

con mucho amor,
Elder Rasmussen
