What is Grace?

Buenas días!

Spanish word of the day: Guardafango (fender/mudguard)

I hope all is well. To my understanding, there is a bit of unrest in the streets. I hope and pray that this situation can improve for this great nation that we know. I know there are a lot of people who feel abused, mistreated, and silenced on matters like these. This got me thinking: what is the universal antidote for peace, restitution, and healing?
Quite simply, this antidote can be found over 2,000 years ago, at the base of a mount of olives outside the city of Jerusalem. The decision of one man, to take upon himself all of the pains, sufferings, injustices this world had to ever offer. This action of pure love, mercy, and compassion can be known as The Atonement of Jesus Christ.

I'd like to touch a little more on the real-life application of His Atonement in our lives. Grace. What even is grace? Have you felt grace? Why is it even important?

To start, grace is the enabling power of His Atonement. Because of this perfect love, He understands because He felt it all. He knows the exact and specific details of your trials, struggles, and weaknesses. His Grace allows us to unload the unbearable baggage of burdens we have carried much too long. This tangible sensation of unloading is in fact VERY real and tangible, yet somehow unexplainable.

Grace is accessible to everyone. We don't have to wait until we are gasping for breath under the weight of trials. This grace is not only for sinners, but for saints as well; those that are trying to live righteous lives. All we have to do is humble ourselves and just ASK!
One of my favorite scriptures about grace can be found in Ether 12:27.

"And my grace is sufficient for all [men and women] that humble themselves before me...and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them."

To finish, I want to invite you to try something. Reflect on your own life, and find a time when you were wronged, hurt, offended, lied to, or mistreated. With this in mind, humble yourself before Him in fervent prayer, and let Him take it from you!
I promise, if there is one thing that can heal every wound, spiritually, physically, or mentally, it is His grace.
I hope you all can have a lovely and fulfilling day!

con mucho amor,
