Sorry, Boston is currently closed until further notice
Feliz día!
Spanish word of the day: Zurdo (Not ambidextrous or right handed; aka ME)
There is lot to fill you all in on. Just in: the MBM (Massachusetts Boston Mission) has had some serious but temporary changes!
Sadly, my area is temporarily closing. I'm heading to Revere, the area just north. As for all of our friends, they are being handed to the Spanish sisters here.
Not going to lie, when I first found out about this, I was in shock. I couldn't believe this was happening. I felt this wave of sadness because we have worked so so hard here and then it's all getting ripped off.
Hopefully, as more missionaries begin to arrive in the coming weeks, it can be reopened again.
Change is a very interesting thing. Often times we resist change because we are comfortable where we have been and don't want to leave that comfort. If there is one thing that I have learned is that we can't grow in this moment of comfort.
Quite obviously, Adam and Eve were not growing the the Gardin of Eden. They experienced a mighty change. Was it easy? Not one bit! But where would we be without that singe event?
A very close friend of mine has mentioned this on many occasions to me. Something along the lines of "When change comes, we can choose to be better or bitter". A very good point made. We can choose to be angry, kick the dust, and say "why me?" or, we can choose to see this as an opportunity to be happy and experience joy. What will you choose??
My dear friends and family, one last fleck of gold that I heard this week.
"Go give em' heaven"
