I really want to share an awesome study I had this week while reading in Ether 6. This is when the Brother of Jared and his family journey to the promised land (America).
I kind of had a profound realization. First, to put into perspective, they were in their barges that were "tight like unto a dish" for 344 days!! Imagine that! You, your family, all your chickens, sheep, bees, and much more for 344 days!
We read in verses 5 and 6 that "they were at many times buried in the depths of the sea, because of the mountain of waves which broke upon them...and terrible tempests caused by the fierceness of the wind."
Here was the realization:
Now, we must remember, who was it that was driving this wind?
It was Almighty and all-knowing God.
Why would he send such immense waves and winds?
So they could progress!
I hope you can see where this is going. One might ask themselves, why am I experiencing this trial? Well, it's so you can progress. Often times we feel we are "buried in the deep in the sea" and all is dark and lost. I want you to know, that when we focus our lives on Christ and abide by the precepts of His gospel, He will "cause the light to shine in darkness"
Might I ask, how do kites fly?
They thrive on the opposing wind, while still being anchored to the one holding it. We should be like the kite, wanting to soar and progress, while still being anchored in Christ.
To finish, I really love this two videos that you can watch on Gospel Library. If you are currently struggling with anything, and I mean anything, please watch these videos.

The Refiner's Fire
I love you all! I know you can make it through this hard time!
