I stand as a witness
Dear friends and family,
I hope you all had a nice weekend. I know it's spring break, so I hope you are all having a nice stay-cation.
Spanish word of the day: Tentempié (Snack)
The highlight for me had to have been General Conference. In the past, I'll admit, I have never been good at staying awake during this event. It's not that I didn't care, so much as to I just didn't invest my time and effort into preparing for it.
I have to say, I was fixed on what each speaker said. Not just because it was going to be the "most memorable conference" but because of the time I had spent studying and preparing. Having been in the mission field for almost 6 months, I have grown to have a personal witness of the Restoration of the Church.
I add my personal witness all that was said. I KNOW that the Savior lives! and because he loves us, He wouldn't let us perish in darkness. He and the Father did in fact appear to Joseph Smith. It all began with a simple prayer inquiring of more wisdom.
We too can have our own personal Restorations. When ever we lack wisdom, let us fall on our knees and ask in sincere prayer.
I love you all and wish you with health and strength in these times. I love the scripture in
D&C 6:36 "Look unto me in every thought; doubt not, fear not."
This simple yet powerful scripture gives me hope and peace. I hope it can for you as well!
con mucho amor,
Elder Rasmussen
