Transfers and Old Greek guys
Buenas días!
Word of the week: Anhelar- to wish vehemntly
Update: I'm now in Boston with Elder Allred. He's from AZ, super nice guy, has about 16 months under his belt
Funny story:
Elder Allred and I were doing contacts in a Dunkin donuts. There was the group of old guys that were sitting near by. At first I couldn't tell what they were speaking. That's when they saw us looking at them and they started speaking English. They told us they were from Greece. We went back to planning when more of them started to show up. One said to me "Greek guys talk a lot when they drink coffee". He wasn't kidding. It was really funny.
Boston has been crazy! The border of our area is the Charles River and all the way down to Dedham and Milton. There are WAYY more people here than in Lynn. There is always some thing to do here which is nice, but also crazy because we're just running around.
Had a cool lesson with a guy named Jovanny. Currently he's in a recovery program dealing with addiction. We taught the Restoration but really focused on the Atonement. As I testified to him about the Atonement of Jesus Christ, I felt the power of it working on him. We explained that the Savior has felt everything he has felt and that he could access the powers of the Atonement through praying.
My dear friends and family, I can testify that the Atonement of Jesus Christ is very real. It encompasses everything. Through His sacrifice, it makes it possible for everything to be made right again. I am So grateful for me as a sinner to be able to feel the peace and love from being able to let Christ take my burdens. I encourage you all to take the time to learn more about his sacrifice and Atonement.
I love you all! Keep going forward! Don't forget that someone in this universe knows how you feel.
