The final count down

Ladies and gentlemen, friends and family,

Word of the day: Oso de peluche (teddy bear)

This last week has been a bit of a stress. One of my companions is going home and the other is only one transfer in. It was really up in the air as to who is going where. We all thought I'd stay because I've done 2 transfers here in Lynn but nope.

My time here in Lynn has come to an end. I've been transferred to Boston!

Had an awesome lesson with Manfredo and his wife Miriam on Thursday. He recently decided to take the lessons seriously so we were able to go I to depth with the Restoration. Super powerful lesson. Last time he said he wants to spend eternity with his wife and 5 month old daughter. How cool is that!

Funny thing happened while tracting. We were in this place called Rainbow Terrace. We weren't having many people open their doors which was quite unusual. As we turned the corner, we saw three Hispanic ladies sitting in their car. I opened with "Somos los misioneros locales, tenemos un mensaje sobre Jesucristo." and they said in Spanish, "we are sharing a message about Jesus Christ too!". I thought that was interesting, there'd no sisters in our area. They quickly replied "we are Jehovah's Witnesses!". I looked at my companions right after and we were like "ohhhh how nice." Anyways we talked and they were super kind. Come to find out they had knocked all the doors so it was VERY awkward after.

But it's cool they were sharing a message about Jesus Christ. Lately I've been thinking about how the Atonement of Jesus Christ can make all things right in this life. Any time you've been offended, hurt, abused, betrayed, etc. The Atonement encompasses all of that. There is a physical being somewhere in the universe that has felt EVERYTHING you have felt. You can pray to the Father through the Son.

Love you all! Have a wonderful week! Here's some of the members in Lynn and some art.

con mucho amor,
Elder Rasmussen
