¿Como ser latino? (how to be latino)

Salutations friends, family, and loved ones,

Weather report: wind, snow, and more wind

Word of the day is: pantufla (slipper)

Let me explain the title. There are three things you need to do, to become a latino.
1st- Animoso or animated
2nd- Dramático or dramatic
3rd- Hispano or Hispanic

This week was full of tracting. The adversary apparently knew that so the weather was extra cold. But that didn't stop us. We had two exchanges back-to-back from Friday to Saturday.

I was with Elder Housley and Elder Sellers, our zone leader. We were able to teach a dang good lesson to a FAMILY! It was actually a miracle. Here's how it went...

We had determined this would be the last door we'd knock. We were immediately let in by woman named Odelia and her 3 year old son. As you may know, we're not supposed to teach without the husband being there so we asked if her husband was around and she said no. So we sat for a sec and then she said she'd call him. Turns out he had JUST pulled up in the driveway! We were able to meet her husband, Jovanny. We got talking about religion and he said they have visited just about every kind of church out there. GOLDEN! Anyways, had a very powerful Restoration lesson and at the end, when I shook his hand, he stopped me and put his hand on my shoulder. He looked me in the eyes and just thanked me. I was in awe.

That was for sure the highlight of my week. My dear friends and family, I want you all to ask yourselves this question. How has the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ been a blessing in my life?
In preparation for this upcoming General conference, President Nelson has asked all of us to ponder those words. I highly encourage you all to take some time to prepare yourself spiritually to the words of the prophet. I promise you will find blessings that you haven't seen before in your lives!

I love you all! Stay warm!

con mucho amor,
Elder Rasmussen
