The first (s)noel...and miracles

I'm just gonna jump right in and get right to the point.

On the first day December, it FINALLY snowed! After days of hearing Utah getting hit hard, it was a nice change from the dull cloudy weather. Y'know, I've realized why this place is called New England. It's always wet and the sun rarely shines, but that's ok! I love this place though!

This week we had El Día de Acción de Gracias (Thanksgiving) with the Fuentas family. She is so sweet. Hermana Fuentas made a pavo (turkey) for the first time.  For a first time it wasn't too bad. I'm gonna have to brag, my mom makes the best turkey. You can email me to tell me otherwise haha. We shared about things we were grateful for and felt such a strong spirit of gratitude and love for our Savior Jesucristo.

We had a super powerful lesson with Queni (kenny) and Adelfa. They are a Dominican couple that are SO receptive to the gospel. We had a wonderful discussion of the Doctrine of Christ. Faith, repentance,  baptism, confirmation of the Holy Ghost, and endure to the end.
Towards the end we asked them to be baptized. They didn't say no, but they also didn't say yes. They said they would sincerely pray about it. The entire time the Spirit testified to me and to them that all of what we discussed was the truth! It was so powerful!
Miracle story:
Lastly, on Saturday,  we had a good 4-5 hours open in our schedule. We made a mutual decision to start on contacting the 300-or-so inactive members. So, there we went right down the list and started knocking doors. As 4 hours passed, no one had answered their doors.
We came to this massive 12 story apartment building to see if a lady named Aura lived there. There went to the 11th floor. We arrived at the correct door, took a deep breath, then proceeded to knock.
A lady answered and we asked if it was the right place. She immediately let us in saying her name was Aura.
Now get this, as we got acquainted, she was telling us that she had been praying lately for the missionaries to come visit.  We had no idea! We didn't think she lived there! Truly a miracle! Miracles exist!
She has been struggling with family trouble, drinking, and recently having skin cancer. She then asked if we could give her a blessing. Man the Spirit was so powerful in that humble apartment.

I know that the power of God is on this earth! I have seen it worked first hand! I know there is a God of miracles!

Please pray keep these people in your prayers this week:
Ever, Queni, Adelfa, and Aura
