Finalmente, estoy en el campo en Lynn

Buenas tardes mi familia y amigos, This week was a blur! One minute I'm on a train to the Salt Lake City airport then I'm landing in Boston. Upon arriving, it was love at first sight. I love the city, its culture, and most importantly the people. I got to meet President and Sister Mavromatis and I can say I'm in good hands. They have this whole thing figured out.  I have been assigned to the Lynn area AND I have the opportunity to be in a trio with Elder Gonzalez and Elder Gardner. I was shocked with being in a trio. Let's just say it takes some getting used to.  The first night we went to a dinner appointment with Lizette, a friend of the Church. She's super nice but when it comes to talking, she doesn't let us talk. She could go on for hours......hours. She is really interested in the church but it's hard to teach her. We'll have to figure something out soon. Another person we are teaching tonight is joven (young person) who is SUPER ...

Hey everyone, This will have to be a quick one sorry. I'll get right to the point. This is my final full week here at the MTC. I'm super anxious to get out of here. With how much of an enjoyable experience it has been, all good things need to end. My dad put it perfectly, it's a  "shot in the arm for the rest of your mission - the boost you need to enter the field with excitement".  I feel like I'm ready to hit the field now. It's ready to harvest.  Ran into an old friend last week We got the new Missionary Handbook this week. We can now video chat in friends from home in lessons with friends of the church. As I get further in the mission, and I can better translate, I would love to be able to video chat people in. Member support is HUGE when it comes to missionary work. It is what helps people stay invested and fully immersed in the gospel.  Get ready the awesome new changes! I received a wonderful email from one of my grandparents. She ...

There will be angels around you to lift you up

There will be angels around you to lift you up Dear family and Friends, What an eventful week it has been. Life here in the MTC is....well...let's just say I'm starting to get anxious and antsy to get out of here. I love it, but you can only be around so many missionaries for so long haha.  First off, there has been an unusual amount of medical emergencies here. First, while we were in a break for class, Elder Bird and I saw a missionary had fallen flat on his face outside. I had this feeling we needed to go help even though he was with a bunch of other people. As we approached him, we asked his district members what had happened. They said he just passed out while he was walking, as I was helping him sit on the curb, Elder Bird used his zone leader phone to call for help. I think it was a good thing we went out because the teacher there didn't have the number to call for help, neither could anyone else.  The second one happened THAT night. There was an elder ...

...Because of Him!

...Because of Him! My dear friends and Family, What an amazing thing it is to be able to live in this beautiful world! What an amazing opportunity we have to be a part of something so grand! What a wonderful we have to live as children of our Eternal Father. I am so spiritually uplifted right now I can't even describe it.  Had some really great experiences this week! First off, it snowed! Like...what the. In Octubre? That was a nice surprise. It was actually really entertaining to see all the missionaries who are not from Utah see snow for the first time. There was an elder who stepped out of his dorm and I kid you not, he was looking at the sky, mouth open, eyes wide, questioning what the heck was going on.  Monday night, I don't remember much (like always) but I do remember having a deep conversation with Elder Lloyd. He and I talked about our struggles and trials and kind of where we came from in our lives before our missions. When we were talking, I couldn...
