The 11th hour

Saludo,

I hope you had a nice snow-filled week.

New England also got a few inches, nothing too impressive though.

To start, we recently started teaching a girl named Linzey. She was a self-referral and to be quite honest, she's one of the most solid people I have met on the mission.

Within the first call and getting to know her, we read some verses from the Book of Mormon in 3 Nephi 11. When we read about baptism, she stopped and immediately said "I've always wanted to be baptized". Elder Barbee and I looked at each other for a second completely in shock.
When we called three days later, she had already read the introduction, the testimonies/witnesses, and got to 1 Nephi 3. We decided to share the Restoration, and wow she was asking good questions. When we got to the First Vision, we paused for a moment to wallow in the spiritual manifestation. Before we continued, she stopped to share an experience with us. Long story short, it was a time when she hadn't prayed in a while and when she finally decided to, she explained that there in her room, it was filled with light and she saw and felt the love Heavenly Father and Jesus had for her. Wow!
We have since continued to meet with her and she is doing really well. Please pray for her and her family so that they can all accept the gospel!

In relation to this vision that Linzey had, I read something very interesting that confirmed to me the reality of her experience. In Acts chapter 2 verse 17, is when the day of Pentacost went down. In this large scale spiritual manifestation, Peter quotes from Joel. Here it reads:

"And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and daughters shall prophesy, and your young men [and women]  shall see visions and your old men [and women] shall dream dreams."-

I immediately was taken to the experience Linzey had. There was a sweet spiritual confirmation that we are in the last days, that we are in the 11th hour. That each day is closer to the coming of Christ than yesterday.

Dear friends and family, I invite you to get back on the covenent path if you have strayed. The Lord is coming, and miracles are happening. You don't want to miss out on the Golden Age of the Restoration.

Love you all! Have a wonderful week!

con mucho amor,
Elder Rasmussen
