"Bienvenido.. mi amigos"
Salutations my framily (friends & family),
The word of the week is: estornudar (to sneeze)
Here in Lynn, there is a saying that goes like this " Lynn Lynn city of sin". Kinda depressing right? I saw a sign for a local church that said "Lynn Lynn city of Him!" I like that version more haha.
Miracle on tuesday. We met with Queni and Adelfa. We brought our branch mission leader Hno. Bernabe, a Spaniard. He's so awesome. He has very animated facial and hand gestures. He told his life story and helped invite the spirit to our lesson. We focused on the fact that baptism is just the beginning, and that the Lord has SO much more to offer us, ultimately, being able to live with our families forever with the power of the temple. As we finished, we followed up and asked them what their decision was about being baptized. Queni, this huge Dominican, sat there for a second in what felt like an eternity of silence, then proceeded to say in spanish " We've decided that we want to be baptized". Man was it a powerful moment that the Spirit testified it was real. I kid you not, it felt as if the doors of hell were shaking before the faith of this man and his wife.
We left the lesson completley speechless. It was incredible.
The rest of the week was great! We got to visit less actives, teach new people and have family home evenings in the Spirit of trying to invite others to come unto Christ. This light the world initiative is so wonderful. I encourage you all to share your testimony of the Savior to one person in a way that is special to you. There are so many ways to testify of Him, so there isnt an excuse to not do it. I know when you make that effort to do so, you will feel of His light and love!
This week please pray for: Aura Victoria, Queni & Adelfa, and Ever
Thanks for all of your love and support!
