Massachusetts Boston Mission-Elder Cameron Rasmussen

  Hey Fam, I was telling Mom and Dad that from now on I'm going to share my experiences with the immediate family. I feel that a lot of people are moving on with their lives and some of these experiences I share are very sacred to me.  This last week we were able to get in contact with a few people that have been on radio silence.  Maria- She has 3 kids and is from Mexico City. She had a really good bond with the previous missionaries but they all of the sudden had to leave. She told us that while they were gone, she and her daughter still continued to read, pray, and receive answers from the Book of Mormon. She also mentioned that she knows that she needs to be baptized. Daniel- He's kind of funny. He is very familiar with the church. His ex-wife, mother, daughter, and other relatives are all members. He was even married by a bishop in Mexico. He keeps telling us that he knows that what we have to share is true, but just feels like he can't participate because ...

 

Hi friends and family, This last week I got some pretty interesting news. President Brough called and asked how I would feel with training in an area where neither I or my companion are familiar with. Naturally I told him I would do anything he asked me to do. The previous week, I told him that for my last transfer, I could really use a change. Whether it was a new area, moving back to spanish, training, or a new companion.Ask and ye shall receive, I guess I should be less specific next time. He gave me all of those. So, I will be in Harford with a brand new missionary in a brand new district and an area that is completely unknown. It's the last leg of the marathon and I plan on finishing as strong as I possibly can. Lately, to help wrap things up and have some closure, I'm making a small book with all the life lessons I've learned while here. That way when someone asks me the silly question "How was your mission?", I can hand them this handy dandy book of wisdom....
